Whirlpool to Invest $60 Million in New Perrysburg, Ohio Appliance Components Plant

Former solar panel plant
Whirlpool acquired an existing building previously used for solar panel manufacturing and will invest more than $60 million to transform it with advanced manufacturing technologies and automation. The plant will produce appliance components and subassemblies for washers and dryers.
100–150 jobs
Development will take place over the next two years, creating between 100 and 150 new jobs. Assistance from JobsOhio and a State of Ohio tax credit are pending review and approval. The announcement follows Whirlpool’s $300 million investment in its laundry operations announced in October.
