Project Type: New Plant
Xingyu Automotive Lighting to Open First U.S. Plant in Landis, North Carolina

Xingyu Automotive Lighting Systems, a China-based automotive parts maker, plans to open its first U.S. manufacturing facility in Landis, Rowan County, North Carolina, with a $50 million first-phase investment, according to reports published in early October 2026.
A 121,800-square-foot plant
The company will occupy a 121,800-square-foot facility at 205 Richwater Street in the Landis Ridge Business Park under a 10-year lease. The plant will produce plastic injection-molded components for automotive headlights and taillights supplied to vehicle manufacturers.
At least 300 jobs
Xingyu expects to hire at least 300 employees over the next few years. Hiring is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2027, with initial operations planned for the second quarter.
Site selection
Xingyu considered locations across the Carolinas and Texas before choosing Landis, citing the park’s manufacturing capabilities, access to workers and utilities, and its location in the Southeast automotive corridor. The Rowan Economic Development Council and the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina assisted with the project.
